Dear Friends,

Three years have come and gone since you elected me to represent you in county government.  I have been honored by the trust you have placed in me and I am asking for your support once again as we head into the 2010 campaign.

As many of you know, before becoming your county commissioner, I was fortunate enough to work throughout our region as a community organizer.  For nearly twenty years I had the privilege of meeting with people in their homes and at their work places; listening and discussing the important things we all care about.  As your elected official, I continue to bring those same shared insights and values to the decisions that come before me and that shape the future of our community.

As your county commissioner, I am constantly aware that the decisions I make will affect you and your family each and every day. 

If re-elected I will continue to:

• Treat your tax dollars as if they were coming out of my own pocket.
• Make myself available to everyone---not just those who share my views.
• Work to protect our natural resources, public health and safety and our quality of life.
• Make decisions based on all available information---weighing carefully the pros and the cons.

I thank you for the privilege of letting me serve you this past three years and I seek your support to continue my work for the things that matter most----for the kind of county government whose only “special interest" is our whole community.
